RIFLE SHOOTING.

KARORI RIFLE CLUB,

On Saturday the Karori Rifle Club fired the fourth match of its second series for trophies donated by Messrs. L. Blundoll, Owen Daly, \V. J. Blundell, H. Coker, and Messrs. Judd and Randell. The conditions wore ten shots at 900 and 1000 yards. Rifleman J. Burns' topped'tho,score for tho diiy with 82 out of tho possible 100, his score including a well-compiled 45. at 1000 yards, Rifleman. J.. C. low again shot'well, and his score gives lniri a further lead of four points frbni President 'Marshall for tho club's championship. The match concluded tho club's long-range aggregate' competition for tho season, the winner being President Marshall, with Rifleman G. Tinney four points away, second. The winner's total works out at an average of just under 79 points tier match—a very good performance considering the very difficult conditions under which most of the long-range matches have been conducted. Tho club's president appears to be shooting in. something like his old form. Rifleman J. J. Cassells wins the long-range aggregate for handicap men, Rifleman A. C.
