Messrs. A. H. Atkinson and- Co., Ltd., Feilding, report on Friday's sale:—Pigs were in fair ,Gupply. and the market was about on a par. with ruling rates. A good supply of fruit sold well, all lines being cleared. There is a keen and unsatisfied demand for peaches. Good potatoes aro selling readily at Bs. to 9s. cwt. :Mr. Newton Kim;, -New Plymouth, reports:—On Friday, January 24, for my. annual iKaponga weaner. fair and oattle sale I had a very, big entry, and a big attendance of buyers. Host of the weaners yarded were small, being whey, fed, but were all good-coloured cattle. Bidding throughout was keen, exceptionally so on a line of pidlced Jcreoy heifers, yarded ,by Mr. Martin Steiner. These were started at 455., and were secured by-. Mr. 0. Crowley after brisk competition at £3 le. 6d.
