Information has been received at Cairns that the steamer Innamincka, 2501 tons, of the Adelaide Steamship Company's line, is, on the Barrier Reef, off Port Douglas. Communication is interrupted. , . Experts consider that if the steamer i 9 on the Alexandra Reef her position is better titan if on tho Wentworth Reef, as the latter is more exposed. .When last hoard of prior to the present mishap, tho vessel was sheltering under Cape, Grafton. . There ia no news from the northern districts 6wept by tho cyolone, as tho wires are down. The Innamincka is still on tho reef, and a small steamer is attempting to tow her off.
