PASTORAL CHANGES.
r Tlie Rev.' Brio Dudley Rico, M.A., bar been appointed Vicar of Tauranga, • in place ot tho late Canon ; Jordan; Mr. Rica j was duly instituted to his new cure on Sunday, January 19, by tho Ven. Archdeaobu Tisdall. Tho new Vicar of Tauranga was formerly Curate of; St. Luko's, Clmstchurch, subsequently Vicar of Boss, and has reoently spent some time in England in order to gain oxpericrico in llis best methods of parochial work. Tho Rov. Thomas Fisher, Pokeno, has been appointed Vicar of Onnondville, and Willi bo instituted by tho Bishop of Waiapu oil Ash Wednesday. ; The Rev. H. P. Cowio, M.A., Vicar of Waipawa, is leaving tho Dominion . this month on twelve months' leave, of absence; but hones' if possiblo to remain in' England. Tho Rov. M. Cockerill will act as locum tenons at Waipawa during tho ab;eonco of Mr. Cowio or till his resignation. The Rev. F. W. Martin, Vicar, of Wnipukurau, has been compelled to resign th« parish of Waipukurau on account of deafness. Muoli sympathy is felt for him, and many friends in tho parish , and diocess aro anxious to lighten his burden aiid enable him to livo; quietly in Napier, and do such work for tho Church as way be found practicable. Tho 1 canon, ror cently' passed at the General Synod, i inaugurating a now scheme of nomination, will bo brought into action at once in filling tho vacancy caused by Mr. Martin's resignation. 1 ' Tho Rov. J. A.; M'Nioklo, M.A., who has occupied, the position of locum tenons at Danncvirko for twelve months, will take up his now duties as, headmaster of To Auto Collego, for Nativo boys at tho beginning of March. :• Tho Bishop of Waiapu leaves Gisborne in tho middle of Fobruary for an extended tour round tho outskirts of his diocese, and will travel on horseback up tho East Coast into tho Bay of Plenty. The Bishop hopes to spend Good Friday at To Puko, and Easier 'at Tauranga. Threo now Jfaori churches are to bo dedicated in tho Bay df Plenty. Rotorua will bo subfequently visited, and tho Taupo district, and tho Bishop expects to bo back in Napier about tho middle of April'.
