Lyall Bay nnd Island Bay were well ipeopled, and Day's Bay, presented tho 'fairest of : pictures, with its thicldypopulated benohes and plnying-groumls, flas-bedecked ynchts at anchor,' and the beautiful bush-clad hills as an effective backcloth to a charming mips en scene. A vonturosomo crew from one of tho boating clubs, which pulled over to the Bay, lind, hnwovor, n rather choppy i;un home, the wind having freshened during tho afternoon,
