Mr. Winston Churchill, First Lord of tho Admiralty, in a, gpcccli at Dundee, said the British Army, though small, had been nourished on military 6cionco and possessed originality and experience, : placing its ablest officers on a level with those of Europe. Ho urged the steady driving power, of national support to assist tho Territorials.
Tho long antagonism between England and France had led to the fortification, of every inlet on tho south coast, but the antagonism had ceased without a rupture, and now tho strategic front had changed to the east coast. He hoped they might look forward to find themselves* on the best terms with another Great Power.
