RAILWAY PICNIC.
Railway officers were favoured with faif , weather for their annual picnio at Day's Bay yesterday. Tho outstanding incident of the sports was tho presentation of tho aggregate cup, to tho Departmental: team' scoring highest, points • in athletics, and. swimming. Tho trophy, which jvont to the Head Office Department; was present. - ed by Mr. Rohayne. Ho mentioned inter alia that this was tho last picnic which ho ■. would attend as a general manager, but, though severing his connection with tho Department, ho trusted'that he would bo ■, spared for many, years to enjoy, the annual out.. The Potorkin Cup. tor the competitor securing the highest number* of points in athletics and swimming went to J, M. Power. Tho officials for, tho spotts . wore:—Messrs.
