Mrs. Trevanion, mother of the deceased,' gave evidence that she was on good.terms; with her. son, and warned him against giving Roe money. When she reached Brighton, Roe objected to an inquest being held. He claimed the ownership of the flat, and said he wonld put her out if she made any fuss. He locked the bedroom'and pocketed the key.' Later, Roe desired' to enter, and she accompanied him. Roe looked for something. ' After Roe was asleep she searched the deathroom alone, and found a man's handkerchief, not'her son's, with an empty cachet beneath. This had been opened with a pin or knife. She did not believe her son died by his own hand.
