Godberjas to how tho city's toll was being paid thi» year, when it wfts'elicited that tho returns were wry satisfactory. aTIio figures, show a marked improvement on those of: last year. Up till March 31 last, the sum of .£128,777 had been collected in rates, whereas up till January 27 of this yearrtwo months prior to tho end of tho finahi rial year—the sum of J£126,G32 had,been collected.
