Ross' ono of-tho L.M.S. missionaries at Kamboli, in Central Africa, had nn--exciting adventuro'v ono Sunday night at the.end of Sepkmi-• .., per, A .lion found its way into one of. the ■ back buildings of the missione latioli. It was a very dark night, and the animal ', coiild only bo located by its growls. Mr, ■■'. Ko?s and tho Her. Stewart Wright (an- s other of tho L.M.S. missionaries) had to shoot through the thin panels of.the door, ■■' aiming their, shots'at the r*gion'from which the growls came. The lion nnalij left fho otiUiouse, and prowled about tho verandah of the house, Ho w»s wounded, but managed to iind his way into the garden, 'whore, -next- morning he was: dißpatched amid great rejoicings bv the na. tiyes, who celebrated tfW event by a general holiday.
