Tlio comet recently discovered by Mr. H. Lowe, of Adelaide, was sighted froni Mr. John I). Artha's observatory, at Qrovo Doad, Devonport, Auckland, at 3 n.m. on Friday. It was located between tlio constellations Ocntnurus end' Scorpio, in tho south-eastern sky. Owing to tho faintness of tho comet, it was difficult to pick it up even with tho aid of a telescope, mid i( was not visible through ft binocular glass The annual Dominion conference and canipof tho Seventh Day Adventists, held in Auckland, terminated on Sundav.
