The wireless apparatus which is to be constructed will be of a, similar pattern to that at Saigon, and will play the same part in Oceania as tho former plays in tho bast. In the event of a break in tho existing cable between New Caledonia and Queensland, tho island will no longer be deprived of rapid communication with other countries.

In order to carry out a completo system of wireless, embracing all the French possessions in the world, another station will bo built at Tahiti.
