If the Unionist party Was returned to office it would impose a. moderate tariff on foreign manufacturers, lower than existed in any industrial country, and endeavour to establish co-operation throughout the Empire in trade in addition to defence. It would help the farmers in many ways by bettor housing, and would .establish small landowners, making more people live on tho land. The party • would also encourage beet growing. It was hoped to remove some of the existing food duties. If Home Rule was enforced in Ulster by British bayonets the Government would be blown skyhigli.
