— « 1 ' HIS MAJESTY'S. Messrs.' John Fuller and.-Sons announce that they havo secured the New Zealand rights of "Oliver Twist," a fine picturtf adapted from Dickens's immortal work. This picture will he screened for the first time to-night. The. supporting items will include a sensational circus drama, "In a Den of Lions." During the first half of the Bhow this evening, Mr. John Fuller, senr., who possesses a rich tenor voice. Trill sing "The Pilgrim of Love," and Sally in Our Alley." Mr. Fuller returned recently from a tour of the firm's theatres in Australia, and his re-, appearanco this evening will no doubt be welcomed. THEATRE DOTAL. . This evening patrons of the Theatre Royal will enjoy a complete change of programme. The vaudeville ; bill .is a bright one, and includes the reappearance of Victor the Great* tho clever illusionist, and various : other well-known artists. . THE NEW. THEATRE. Two distinct changes of programme are announced for to-day and to-night at the Nev- Theatre continuous pictures. The "feature" dramajrraph, "The Danitcs," an- interesting Selig production, will be shown at all sessions throughout" to-day and to-night. 'Among the most important items-to be screened to-day will be tho dramas, "A Mother's Love" and "Tho Sloonstone." This evening's subjects will include Irish Girl's Love" ' (Lubin drama), "Lovp on Tough Luck Ranch" (S. and A. drama), and "Waterfalls in Jamptland." ■ ■■'. • " ■ THE KING'S THEATRE. . ' For; this evening an entire ohan'pe of programme , is announced at the ' King's Theatre, when an attractive and interestingly varied series of kinematograph studies by the latest'mail will be screened. ' A complete change of programme will be presented at Shortts' Continuous Picture Theatre to-day. The star, item is a dramatic study entitled "The Two Roads." THE PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE. The People's' Picture Palace jn Manners Street announces a comDletechango •of programme for to-day. The principal attraction is a thrilling dctective drama, entitled "P,lot and Counter-Plot." Among other new pictures "The Redemption of Silvers" (S. and A. drama) and "Bidoni and the Lions" are included.
THE EMPRESS THEATRE. The Empress Theatre continuous pictures were responsible for, crowded sessions on Saturday. At to-day's sessions an entirely new series of dramatic, ■ comic, 6cenic, and travel subjects will'bo displayed. To-night a sensational: Nordisk circus drama, entitled "In a Den of Lions," will head another change of programme. "In a Den of Lions" is reported to be staged and mounted, with- an utter disregard to cost. ; The photo-play, occupies over thirty-five minutes, and.is stated to abound in sensational developments.
