Dalgety and Company, Limited' report ae follows on their fortnightly sale held at .Upper Hutt yosterday :-Wo had a large entry of sheep and a good entry of cattle, and practically evorything went out of the yards sold. Thero was a larrtc attendance of buyers, and the biddinc was fairly keen. Woolly lambs, 6s. sd, "l 2d 7s. 7d„ 10s„ lis. sd„ 125.; f.f.m. ewes to ss. 9d.; two-tooth wethors, to lis. 6d.- cows in milk, £6, £6 10s„ £7 ss„ £7 lte.,£B £11° heifers, £3 10s:, £5 10s., £8; heifer calvm' £1 12a. 6d.; bulls, to £2 IBs. '
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a small yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattle at their weekly Palmereton North sale on Thursday. Sheep wore dull of sale, lmt cattle met with a fair demand. Ewes and lambs, all counted, Bs.; cull yearling steers 375. 6d.; mixed ltmonth oattle, £2 18s. 6d.' 15-month steors, medium sorts, £3 Gs £3 75.; 15-month heifers, £3 9s. 6d.; two-year steers, £4 55.; two-year dairy heifers £4 Bs.

The New, Zealand Loan and Mercnntilo Agency Co., Limited, and licduccd, report having held their weekly sale on Tuesday in tho I'.F.A. yards, I'aliiatua, when they offered o medium entry of sheep and a good entry of cattle to a large attendance of farmers and : othcrs. Sheep were hard to sell, consequently mostly ail lots were turned out. Cattle were also easier in price, especially weaners, several lines failing to reach vendors' reserves, being passed in. Tho following aro some of tho prices realised. Lambs, 7g. Id.; Btoro cows, £3 109. to £3 155.; 18-montli lieifers, £2 10s. to £3 55.; cows, with calf at foot, £4 10s.; 19-month steers, £2 17s. to £3 13a. 6d.; woanere, Xs., 4Cs., to '47c. 6d.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Rcdticcd, report having held their opening sale of tho season in their Waimiro yards on Thursday. The firm had a fair entry of sheep and cattle, although not quite up to advertised numbers. There was also a good attendanco of farmers and buyers present; competition on tho whole was easier than at previous sales held In other centres, the firm, however, report a total clearance (with one exception) at. tho following prices:—Fat ewes and wethers, lis.;.medium iambs, ss. 7d.; cull lambs, 3s. to 4s. 6(1.; mixed two-tooths, jOs. ; three-year bullocks, £5 7s. 6d. to £5 155.; 20-month steers, £3 12s. to £3 155.; three-year lieifers, in calf, £2 17«.; weaners, £1 lis.
Meters. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Polmerston North sale, on Thursday, a limited entry met with a dull sale. Weaners showed a drop of Es. per head from last week. Jersey weaner heif-: ers, 245. 6d. to £2; weaner steers, 17s. 6d. to 245.; weaner, heifers, 20s. to 28s. 6d.; 18month heifers, £3 55.; two-year steers, £4 fa. 6d.; store oows. £2 to £2 155.; email yparling heifers, £2 25.; cows and calves, £3 17s. 6d.
