•——— CHRISTCHURCH TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph—Prees Association.) Christcliurch," January 21. This morning ivns simply glorious for the fifth day of the bowling tournament. Christchurcli Green was the locale, whew tho sectional ties and green finals were completed. There was a very large concourse of the public present to watch tho various games, and considerable interest was shown. The play in nearly every case was of a very high order, and in eoino instances reached the height of perfection. In tho afternoon an adjournment was made to the.Canterbury Green; Where the president'of the association (Mr. Barnett) and Mrs; Barnett entertained the ladies and bowlers generally, a large attendance being' present. Play did not conclude till 7.45 p.m. ' About G.SO p.m. a fairly heavy showor fell. ,Tho following are the results:—

Champion Rink Green Winners.

Canterbury No. 1 green: Potteous (Ponsonby), 24; Hain (North End), 22. Sydenham green (first round): Woolf (United), 23; Bentley (Dunedin), 18. Kerr (Newtown), 19; Porteoug (Ponsonby), 15. Second round: Kerr (Newtown), 26; M'Donnkl (Green Island), 15. Woolf (United), 20; M'Lachlan (Taieri), 19. Final:, Kerr (Newtown) and Woolf (United) played 14 heads, Iwhen Tain stopped further play (Kerr 10, Woolf G). Tho game will be finished to-morrow. _ M'Donald (Green Island) secured third prize, and M'Lachlan (Taieri) fourth prizo. ' 1., Championship Doubles, Semi-finals. Thomson (Wellington), a bye. Rennie (Southland), 27; Ca6ey (Ponsonby), 10. The final between Thomson and Rennio will be held to-morroW.
