The fortnightly meetiflg of the Hutt Town Board was held this week. Commissioner Beugo presided. Correspondent) was, received from tho Minister for Railways and District Engineer's Offico granting access by . wicket gate to tho Wnllaco-rillo Station from M'Loan Street, also from Mr. T. Burrell's solicitors, regarding' overflow water from county roads. ' On receipt of reply from Dalgety. Ltd,, agreeing, to have certain improvements made to their salevards in addition to- those already completed,! it was decided to suspend tho order as to the Tcmoval of yards■to a less central site. The board's engineer for the waterworks 6cheine (Mr. G. Laing-Meason) attended, and outlined the general waterworks scheme which, by tho way, will tako, ''according to Mr. Laing-Sleason's report, just close upon a year to complete at earliest.
