That tho Tmmwav Board of Management bo . instructed to furnish a report to tho Tramways Committee on tho following proposals, etc.:— (1) Oh tho number of passengers carried on each city section: for tho four weeks ended December 0, 1912, giving a comparison with tho nunil»r carried on tho old section for
tho corresponding period of last year. (2) Giving tho following alterations in tho regular tramway sections a trial: —For air trams travelling north, via Courtenay Place ond ol section, to be opposite the Royal Oak Hotel. For all teams travelling south ond of section to bo opposite Taranaki Street.
Regular end of section' on all Cuba. Street lines to bo opposite tho Royal Oak Hotel. John Street end of section to bo shifted to Druminond. Street, and Duppa Street ■ end of section to bo removed to Ohilka Street. ' ■' ' ;(3) On the question of introducing an overlapping ticket system, with sections radiating from tho General Post Officoiand south end of FoathorBton Strcot on all linos _ passing or radiating from thoso. points; thereby replaoing tho present regular sections at Cambridgo Terrace and Voitch and Allan's comer with overlapping ; seotions from tho General Post Offico and Feathorston Street,:. Respecting ' Clause No. 1, Councillor, Cameron said that he hatl found that ho could not get a return, but that was a. mistake. However, ho wished to withdraw the clause,'and moved in that oyrcction.
