YOUTHFUL MARAUDER.
■ ■■———♦ —-—'.'■"'.! : !'.-; ■■ (By Telegraph.—Presß Association.) Auckland, January 23. John Bandley, 15 years of age,, was arrested last night by a constable on the premises of tho Albert Brewery. He admitted that ho had climbed over tho roofs of buildings adjoining the brewery, and descended.to the yard by a waterpipq. When caught ho had in his possession goods stolen from Smith and; Caughey, drapers.;- He also admitted,that ha had burgled the City Chambers on Monday night, and attempted to enter John Court's premises. : Tho boy also stated that he was hidden in Smith and Caughey's when the police searched the promises, and watched their movements. He is a native of Melbourne, and was for some time on ,tho training ship Sobraon at Sydney, from which ho deserted. He arrived •in Auckland as a stowaway on tho steamer Victoria,
