According to men who reached \ town to-day froni Lake Coleridge, work on tho tunnel contract in connection with tho hydro-electrical installation is praotically at a standstill. A large number iof men employed on the contract reaoMd town to-day and others aro etpeobed to-morrow. Reports have been prepared by Officers of the Publio Works Department;; dealing with the progress of the oontratf: for tho construction of tho tunnel, and these will bo fonvarded to: the Minister for Publio Works to assist him in coming to a decision as to whether or not tho. contract shall be determined. • ..• '
