Chappie, Liberal M.P. for' Stirlingshire, directed attention in the House of Commons to Australia's and Canada's increasing efforts to attract the best agriculturists, and their increasing precautions against the-emigration of the inefficient.'
Mr. Horcourt, Secretary of State for the Colonies, in replying, said he was aware that it was sometimes considered that the emigration of' agriculturists had attained excessive proportions, ,l>ut tho setting up of a special committco would not servo any useful purpose ns the Dominions Commission was inquiring into tho matter.
