ANGLICAN CHURCH IN AUSTRALIA.
Tho suggestion that emanated from tho Perth Anglican Synod for a conference:of bishops upon tho legal nexus of the Church in Australia with the Church in England is not to Le carried out—for a time, at any rate. Tho'resolution of the Synod was conveyed to Archbishop Wright by the Bishop of Perth, who has received a reply to tho effect that tho Archbishop, after consulting with'some of tho bishops, decided that it would bo wiser to postpone any meeting until the time of tho. Church Congress at Brisbane. It is expected that many of tho Australian bishops will attend tho conference, and to arrange another meeting might, it-was thought, interfere with their going to I Brisbane owing,to the long distances several would have to travel.
