SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Present indications are for strong westerly winds, veering to southerly everywhere In about twenty-tour liours, the barometer falling in the meantime, but then rising in tho south. Squally and changeable ireatWr may be expected, Jiazy and cloudy conditions increasing, and rain probably following generally. Strtonsj northerly and "westerly winds nave continued, especially in and eouthward of Cook Strait, with rain on the West Coast and southern districts, much mfet and fog in parts, but sultry weather, conditions liavo prevailed in Canterbury and Hawko's Bay.
