MASTERTON SHOW.
Tho enthusiasticcommitteo which manages the affairs of the Masterton A. and I'. Association, is leaving. no stone unturned in its efforts to make tho next show, on February 18 and 19, eclipse the whole of' its predecessors. The prizeuloney has been substantially increased in several, classes, notably that for light horses, and valuablo trophies aro awarded in almost every'section. Among tho latter aro Lawes's ,25-guinea cup for the champion Lincoln ram-i under 21 months; Messrs. W. and H. Beetham's 25-guinea cup for the best pen of four Eomney rams;- Mr.; W. Perrj-'s silver salver (valued at 20 guineas) for the best Romney.ram under 21 months; Mf. John Strang's 15-guinea cup for the .champion Southdown ram; Mr. J. Stuckey's cash prizo of iilO for tho best Southdown ram under 21 months; . Messrs. . Walker . and Hall's, 10-guinea cup for most points in freezing classes; Mr. T. W. M'Kenzie's for five tegs; Mr. G. P. Mooro's silver rose bowl (valued at 12 guineas) for. most points m fat cattle; Mr. W. E. Bidwill's silver - challenge cup (value 20 guineas) the best hack in tho show; Sutton and Sons' 15-guinea cup for tho field competitions; and th® "Buick Memorial Challenge Cup" ,in tho,leaping competition.
