. London, January 17. The Liverpool-Brazil Company's 7(100ton liner Veronese, which has been wrecked on the Portuguese coast, near Oporto, is a total loss.

The Anchen Steam Shipping Company's steamer Auchenarden, 3543 tons, and the Argentine Cargo Company's liner La Blanca, 6813 .tons, collided during a fog oh tho Mersey, The Auchenarden. sank, but her crew was picked up by the La Blanca, which had previously rescued another' shipwrecked crew.
