LABOUR TROUBLE AT HOB ART,

1 Hobart, January 18. -. Instead of tho Corinthio departing for New Zealand on Thursday morning, she was delayed until 3 o'clock in the afternoon, owing to trouble with the Wharf Labourers' Union.
following the usual custom in unloading cement, .threo casks at a time were placed in the slings. The secretary of the union objected that the load was too heavy, and the stevedore , engaged an extra man. . '
The union demanded that, only two casks should be hoisted together, and threatened a strike if the extra man was ■withdrawn.
Tho stevedore perforoe conceded the demands. |
