Green peas.' Fruit salad. Meringues. > SUPPER. , Cold lamb. Tongue shape. Salad of oranges. Trifle. Fruit jelly. STUFFED BEEF STEAK. ! One pound thick, tender steak, Jib. tomatoes, 1 tablespoonful breadcrumbs, loz. butter, } toaspoonful minced parsley, seasoning. Heat tiio butter and fry in it tho tomatoes out up small; add the seasoning, breadcrumbs, and parsley. Insert a sharp knifo into the edge of tho steak, and open it.liko a pocket. Fill this with the forcemeat. Put a littlo batter' on top and grill on both sides. Servo with niaitro d'hotel butter on top; or tho steak may bo garnished with stowed mushrooms and served with a gravy.
