Mr. Ritchio went from the Wairarupa.to tho Colyton district ten years ago, and had been engaged in farming since then. He leaves a grown-up family of fivo sons and four daughters. • Eric Hammond pleaded guilty nt the S.M. Court this, week to seven'failures to attend drill. Ho was convicted, and ordered to pay 75.-costs.. Peter Joseph Power, charged in respect \of olio non r attendance at a half-day parade,: was convicted and fined'ss. with 7s. costs. Walter Thompson, ■ who did not appear, was charged with failing to attend pno drill and two daylight' parades. . Sergeant-Ma-' jor Morrison'stated that' Thompson had not attended, a-parade since-' May. Ho was convicted and fined 20s. with 7s^ costs;
