Some indication of the popularity of tho Lincoln shcop with Argentine breeders may be gleaned from tho following:—"A consignment'of high-class Lincoln sheep from England sold recently in the Argentine at high figures. Eighteen yearling rams realised the exceptional average of JSIG2 155., amongst tho leading prices being JCI37 10s., .£350, and .£2BO. Seventeen yearling owes in tho same consignment ranged to .E26 155., averaging £2) 35." Tho president of tho Taihape A. and P. Association recently asked his Excellency tho Governor if ho would bo ablo to visit tho forthcoming Rangitikei show. A reply has been received from his Excellency intimating that ho and Lady Liverpool will have plcasuro in attending the show.: Tho order for a small shipment of Jersey heifers, which was placed in Jersey last year by Mr. J. G. Harkness, has been cancelled. Soon after tho order was first given, an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease occurred, and prevented tho animals being shipped. Delay followed delay, and nt length Mr. Harkness decided to cancel tho ordor.
