SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of'the Wellington Scottish Society was held last evening in , Hall s tea rooms. Mr. A. B. Thompson (tne chief) was in tho chair, presiding over a very good attendance. Tho main business of the evoning was the presentation, of the annual report and balanceshoet for 1913. Tho annual report 6hows that tho society is in a flourishing condition both numerically and financially, iliere is an increase of 61 new members, and.a credit balanco of 476 9s. 7d. on January 1, 1913. The report and balancesheet wero unanimously adopted.' The election of officers resulted as follows Chief, Mr. A. B. Thompson (reflected); chieftain, Mr. Whito (re-elected); trea«uncr' , Ballantynei secrotary, Mr. W. Allan (re-elected); auditors, Messrs. Reid and J'ogtsre (re-elected); committee, Messrs. E. Gilchrist, J. M'Lennan, J, Colhns, D. M'Millan, Rogers, Donham, ? Indies' committee, Meslames Rogers, Collins, Fletcher, M'Naugh">n, Herdman, Ballantyno, and Allnn. At tho conclusion of tho meeting sprays )f heather were distributed to tlio numbers present. ===== |
