I The ordinary, meeting,; of ' 'the/Karori Borough Council' was held in the- local .council chambers last evening., Present:— The Mayor (Mr. C. Cathie); anil Councillors Hildreth, Bradnock, Hamilton, Horn, Anderson,• and: Staudcn. • "■' '''.:■'.

A letter 'was received froni the Tramways Department stating that sometimes under, a. misapprehension, conductors have charged on: the borough lines thinking tho rule was tho same as on the city .lines. 'It was pointed out by n councillor that tho city received the benefit of the luggage carried from Karori.' It was decided that tho Town Clerk write to the City ; Council embodying the views oxprcssed, and to endeavour to get the ■Tramways Boanl to agrco to share the profits derived from luggage carried over tho Koi-ori lines.-Under tho present system the city ,wero being paid 4d. for parcels (6(1. delivered) Vhicb -wero sent over ;the Karori lines free of cost...
. The borough engineer was given' power allow school picnic parties to use tho. recreation grounds on AnniverMry Day,free of charge. ; -
