(From Orr Special Correspondent.) Tho ■ monthly sitting of the Hutt Jus tices* Court was hold yesterday morning, boforo Messrs. A. Y..l*os and J. Cudby, J.P.V John Francis O'Rojirke, who was chargod with riding n bicycle without a light after dark, was fined 55., with Court. costs, 7*. la default,- 24 hours. Victor Hawthorn was charged with driving a vehicle through the Hutt district on tho night of January 2 without a > light, and was fined 55., with .Court costs 10s., in default. 21 hours' imprisonment. John Patrick (who did not appear) was charged with, riding in a tram from Lower Hutt to Upper Hutt without bar. ing previously paid tho fare. In a letter to tho Bench defendant explained that ho had taken out a ticket to Lower Hutt, which-station ho intended to alight at, hut had fallen asleep on the way, and when awakened found himself near Upper Hutt. The Bench considered that, whilst a reasonable excuse had been offered, a penalty must be imposed. Defendant was fined 55., with costs 7s„ in default.. 24 hours' iuiDrisonmcuU
