COLLISION.
- ———» '~ MOTOR CAR AND TRAIN. THREE MEN INJURED. (By Tclecraph.—Press Association.) Invercarglll, January 13. 'A motor-car collision with a railway train occurred this evening at Grassmcre, resulting in three young men, Eric Russell, Eddie Broad, and Georgo Broad, being admitted to the hospital suffering from cuts and bruises. There wore five occupants in tho car. When it neared tho lino it was soon that tho incoming' train from Kingston had passed Grassmere station, and would probably cross the road before tho car got past. Russoll, who was driving, applied tho brakes and turned tho car towards the cattlestop, but a collision took place. \The impact hurled Russell over tho wind screen on to tho cattlestop. Eddio Broad had eonio ribs broken, and Georgo Broad sustained cuts and bruises. Walter Broad was thrown violently against tho "Stop! Look-out-for-tho-ongine" sign post, which ho clasped, and slid'to tho ground uninjured. . Alfred Broad was .also thrown out, but escaped with a shaking. Both the car and train were, travelling slowly at the moment of collision, and to this fact probably is due the slight nature of the injuries eutained.
