Tho police have, identified Schoene, the alleged murderer of a farmer, his wife, and a servant girl at Bukow, as recorded recently, with a notorious ■ criminal naratd Stennickcl, wanted for a murder in Silesia in 1905, and also for a series of daring robberies. Stermickel's fame in eluding tho 'police is'almost legendary in Germany, and is the more remarkable because he made no mystery of his identity or appearance. A world-wide search was made t for him in connection with the Silesian murder, yet he worked at various places near Berlin and cultivated rather than, shunned the police.
