Tho police have, identified Schoene, the alleged murderer of a farmer, his wife, and a servant girl at Bukow, as recorded recently, with a notorious ■ criminal naratd Stennickcl, wanted for a murder in Silesia in 1905, and also for a series of daring robberies. Ono of his alleged accomplices in the Bukow murder has confessed. A mob attacked and badly mauled S'choeno whilo he was on his way to gaol. ■.'■■', (Eec. January 14, 0.40 a.m.) Berlin, January 13. Stermickel's fame in eluding tho 'police is'almost legendary in Germany, and is the more remarkable because he made no mystery of his identity or appearance. A world-wide search was made t for him in connection with the Silesian murder, yet he worked at various places near Berlin and cultivated rather than, shunned the police. Ho was twico arrested, and es caped by hoodwinking his captors. Accomplices state that Stermickel planned to rob his master, assuring them'thai no violence would be used.
