THE CAPSIZED MOTOR LAUNCH.
A BODY RECOVERED. The body of Alexander M'Kenzie, one of the members of the ill-fated party which was capsized out of, a motor launch at the mouth of tho Aohftnga River on Now Year's Day, was found on the beach' near tho rivor mouth' on Saturday evening. There were four men in. tho boat, a 6mall, but speedy, craft, and they left Aohanga to take tho launch to Masterton by way of Castlepoint.7 Early on tho next morning tho launch was found on tho beach, bottom upwards. It was hoped for a day or two. that tho men might have been picked up by a passing 6teamer, but none of the coastal vessels passing that point reported anything. Now tho finding of ono of tho bodies leaves no room for doubt as to tho fato of tho men. Tho members of tho party woros Sam Potangaroa, James Power, jun., Alexander Duncan, and Alexander M'Konzio,
