MR. BONAR LAW'S STAND. THE UNIONIST MEMORIAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Eeo. January 12, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 11. All', tho Unionists, except five, have signed the memorial to Mr. Bonar Law at Pall .Mall. The terms of tho memorial 1 enable the tariff policy 'to be "instituted immediately the Unionists are returned to power. Mr. Bonar Law, on; receiving the, memorial, will consult Ixjrd Lansdowne, and roply at the earliest opportunity. Ronald M'Ncill (Unionist member for Kent), 1 has announced that ninety-eight per cent, of the' Unionists havs supported ■tho memorial. ' ■ Mr. Jesse'Collings •(Unionist member for Birmingham), said that if the tariff reform Were advocated minus tho food ' taxes/ it meant disaster to the party. He did not believei Mr. Joseph Chamberlain would be likeji); alter the original programme, nor would the people of Birmingham be misled by the wiles of tho anti-food taxers.
