The zeal with.which the farmers of the community safegnard their interests has been excited; by, recent developments in industrial - and: commercial matters.' Co-, operation:in self-defence is now being) urged by Major D..H. Lusk. (president of the Auckland :Exedutive of the New Zealand'Farniora'iirnion), who has addressed a letter on tho subject .to the ohairmen of all co-operative businesses in Auckland .province.' I.therefore take the liberty to suggest "that there is urgent need for' united notion on our part in self-defence, and, further, that it is a wise and- good policy - for all; our strictly ■ cp-opcrativo business concerns. .to bo ■ constantly -in friendly communication.
