The Nationalists at Londonderry have changed their candidate at the forthcoming by-election rendered necessary by Lord "Hamilton vacating his seat on succeeding his father as Duke of Abercorn. The party feared that tho candidature of Mr. J. R. Leslie, who contested tho seat ogainst Lord' Hamilton at tho last two general elections, would nlicnato the votes of tho Protestant supporters of Homo Rule, as Mr. Lcslio is a convert to Roman Catholicism. Mr. Hogg, a Presbyterian, was finally solccted to contest tho seat.
