OBITUARY.
A veteran in the ranks of the United Free Church has fallen in tho person of the Rev. David. Landsborough, LL D senior minister of Henderson Church, Kilmarnock. Dr. Landsborough. had reached the age of 85, and had been in the. nimistry' for sixty-ori© years,. althoughi-is almost a'decado since ho retired. It is only a few months ago that the occurrence of his diamond ]übileo was marked by a social meeting and presentation. Dr. ijmdsborough's mind was a versatile one. and he was .distinguished in several branches of learning outside his own profession. He was a naturalist, an antiquarian, and a botanist. He wrote several books on Arran, to .which island it is said, he introduced many species of plant life from the South. In Kilmarnock ho was affectionately , referred to as : tho "grand old man."
