Owing to the steady increase in- the Wnnganui-Now Plymouth-Sydney trade, 'it has been found-that tho Karamu is hardly largo enough to meet requirements, and the Union Company have made arrangements to roplaco her with tho Kittawa, which iB a considerably larger vessel. As Bteody' improvements continue to be made in deepening Wangaoui River it is hoped that the Kittawa in turn will bo replaced by a still larger vessel in the near future. After discharge of her cargo of Greymouth timber at Melbourne and Sydney, the Kittawa Will proceed to Newcastle to load for Now Plymouth and Wanganui.
