At a meeting of tho Wostland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, held yesterday, tho Hokitlka Women's Benevolent Society, which now goes out of existence, handed to tho board .£l2O, which sum is to be devoted to tho fund 'now being raised -for ,tho erection of an infectious diseases ward. Tho board placed on record its appreciation of tho long and valuablo services which tho ladies of tho Benevolent Society havo rendered in tho causo of humanity. Tho sum of £3 has been forwarded to tho Railway Department, Wellington, by sorno person unknown, as "consciencemoney" to tho New Zealand Government. Woods' Great Peppermint Cure, Is.
