' ACTIVITY IN WESTLAND. (By IVdcgraph.—Pross Association.) . , Hoklttkn, January 8. A deputation of residents of South Westland waited on tho chairman of the Westland branch of the Reforni League this evening, in referenco to the formation of a' sub-branch to cover the southern districts, with representatives at tho, Waiho, Wataroa, and Ogarito. The : deputation desired the setting up of a. local executive for the purpose of looking after tho requirements and development of" that extensive district, and in order to bo organised when, the Primo Minister visits Wostland, when it is hoped ; to meet Mr: Masscy and bring under his notice tho various needs of South' Wostland.. It was stated that n strong sub-branch oould bo formed with at least forty members. The president of the Wostland branch the New Zealand Political Reform League (Mr. Bernard Ward); and the chairman (Mr. W. Jeffries) will probably, visit South Wostland at an early datei and arrange for tho organisation of what is an . enthusiastic band of reformers.
