Thomson against his 'disqualification':.by- the Wairarapa Centre 'for alleged irregularities at the Martinborough sports meeting on Boxing, Day, 1911, was dismissed. ' ' ' .' '■■ . The.question of the removal of the disqualification imposed upon the Hibernian Sports Committee, of Blenheim, was deferred until the executive could;ascertain all 'the facts of tho case at Blenheim. Tho Wellington Centre waited upon the executive to ask-that the. amount owing by the centro tcf the. central body, be remitted.' Mr. D.Moriarty, chairman of 'the-'centre; said that if tho amount due, £6 19s;, was, paid the centre would have £3 wherowirh to carry on of the year. If cash athletics were to bo organised in Wellington tho centre must have the sinews of war, and he suggested that the union should make a donntion to the centro of tho amount due.. Ho honed tho centro. would be able to work lip-a good cash club in -Wellington, now that League football was likely .to bo established here. ■ ■ It was suggested that tho Wellington -Centre should amalgamate with Wairarapa or Feilding, as there seemed to bo no chance of forming enough clubs here to put the Wellington Centres finances on n sound footing. In none of the.priacipal cities were there societies or clubs worth while. Eight throughout New. Zealand tho union was supported in the country'districts more than in the cities. After.,.discussioiuit was .agreed, on the j suggestion of the chairman, that the centre should, pay in. the .amount due. seildthrir delegate, to tho conference, and,; place -their caso before, .the- conference.. If this were, done: he was suro.'a' grant wonld be'made by the union. ;, This proposal-.was adopted.- .;; .
