A break was discovered ih the steering gear of the coastal steamer Wea-pubi on Thursday last, and in consequence she was not able to leave for Tauranga. The Clansman was dispatched, in her place. The repairs to the Ngapuhi will take eome time to complete, and she .will not leave for Tauranga until to-night, instead of last evening. The vessel will nrriro bock at Auckland on Thursday morning, -January. 9. and will leave again at her -usual time the same day for the Bay of Plenty port. KIA OEA ARRIVES HOME. The, Tokomaru Bay Harbour Board has written to the Marino Department,- under ,date .of December 18, stating that tho black buoy marking Hikutu Hock, in tho centre of Tokomaru Bay, has been .lifted for repairs, and a temporary buoy wag placed in position to "mark the rock. This temporary buoy has broken adrift,., and the permanent buoy will not bo placed jn position for about. a month from date. Advice will be sent when the buoy has bciin replaced in position.
