THEOSOPHY.
Mr. Burn, H.A., of Dunedin, delivered the concluding lecture of the New Zealand Theosophical Convention, entitled "The Strait Gate," in the Masonic Hall lost night. In dealing ivith his subject, Mr. Bum eaid that the miking of a man was not the work of a few years, but of many lives. Each life showed forth a new aspect until perfection was readied. The Jost stages brought him to discipleship, under one of tho great. masters ofwisdom, lie must prove his capacity to share the work of the saviours of the world before ho could bp an accepted disciple and enter the path. Mr. Burn sketched the Qualifications of discipleship, and showed how a man might reaeh liberation, and devote himself to the service of humanity—liberation meaning freedom from tlio bonds that have enslaved him.
