' The Marquis of Hamilton, helf to tho Dukedom of ASercorn, is tho sitting member (Conservative) for Londonderry City, and will automatically vacate his seat on becoming the third' Duke, of Abercorn. Londonderry Was captured by the Nationalists in 1895 (majority 40), and rn 1599 (majority 42). In 1900 the Marquis of Hamilton stood for, and waS elected to tho 6oat, with a majority of 67: returned unopposed in 190(1 i returned vrith a major* ity of 67 in 1910. The .by-election now pending should bo ft ko3H : Contest, fought out on tho Homo Rule issue.
