' REVIEW OF THE WEEK'S PRICES. Supplies of local stone fruits have been very heavy at -tho Blair and Allen Streets markets during the past week, especially during tho holidays. The result was that prices inclined to the low side. This week's San Francisco steamer brought a very fair shipment of banaaias, and also about 800 cases of American oranges. | Cherries arrived by both the Sydney and tho Melbourno steamers, and good prices were realised. Since the holidays, potatoes have not been coining in in. very large quantities, and values have risen con-1 sidorably during the last two or three i days. Practically'all lines of vegetables are in very good demand. There has not been sufficient forward to satisfy inquiries. ■ • Tho values Tilling for the week are:— Cherries, in 361b. crates, 15s. to 205.; cucumbers, Bs. to 14s. per dump; pineapples, 13s. to 14s. per ease; Messina lemons, 17s. Gd: per case; bananas, ss. to 7s. Cd. pw case; oranges, 10s. to 17s. per case; kumeras, 6s. per orate; peaches (in very heavy supply), Is. to 3s. per half-case; apricots, ss. to Cs. per, case; apples, 2s. to 2s. 9d. por half-case; pears, 2s. per halfcase; gooseberries, Is. to 2s. per halfcase; black currants, 7s. to Bs. per halfcase; raspberries, ss. to 6s. 6d. per bucket; cherry olums, 2s. Gd. per half-case; Burbanks, 2s. Gd. to 3s. Gd. per half-case; Early Rivers (dessert), 4s. to 4s. Cd. por case; grapes, Is. to, Is. 3d. per lb- Tomatoes are nt present in short supply, and are worth 15s. to 20s. per half-cnse; cucumbers, 2s. to Bs. per dozen; choico cabbage, Bs. to 10s. per sack; others, 4s. to Gs. Gd.; cauliflowers, ss. to 7s. per sack; beetroot, ss. to Gs, per sack; white turnips, ss. Gd. to 7s. per sack; carrots, 7s. to Bs. per sack; parsnips, Gs. to 7s. per sack; swedes, Is. to ss. per cwt.; choico potatoes, 10s. Gd. to 13s. per cwt.; others, 7s. to Bs.; lettuce, Is. to 2s. per case; French beans, 3d. per lb.; broad beans, 2s. Gd. to 3s. Gd. per part sack; peas, Bs. to lis. per sack; vegetable marrows, 7s. Gd. per case; onions, £& 10s. per ton; eggs, Is. per dozen.
