Athcnic, of the Shaw, Will, and Albion Company's fleet, arrived at Wellington from London, via Cape Town and Hobart, at 4 p.m. yesterday, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf shortly after. 6 p.m. A report of tho voyage (supplied by Jir. S. J. C. Freeman-Matthews, purser) Dialed that the Athcnio left the Royal Albert Docks, London, on the morning of .November 16, and proceeded to Gravescnd. After ombarking passengers, took her departure at 2.22 p.m. the samo day for Plymouth, arriving Sunday afternoon, U 3.43 p.m. Had hazy and foggy weather leaving London, which continued until the Isio of Wight was passed, when .the weather cleared, and moderate N.W. winds and line, clear weather were experienced until arrival at Plymouth. Passengers ana mails were embarked, and tho vessel Irit at 8.20 p.m. for Tonoriife. Experienced N.W. and westerly winds, with moderately rough sea, across tho bay; then moderate M.Ji. winds and fino weather to Toueriffc, arriving there on Friday, November 23, at 1Z.15 p.m. She took in bunker coal, and left tho same day at 10.20 p.m. for Cape Town. Had gentle N.B. winds and One weather to lOdcg. N.; then calms and light airs to the equator, which Was crossed in lOdcg. W. on the levelling of Friday, November 29; then fresh S.E. trades, with moderate head sea and cloudy weather. Approaching the African coast the wind .veered to S.W. and N.W., the weather remaining 1 fine until arrival at Cape Town at 5.18 p.nl. on December 7. After coaling, the Athenio left the 1 next, day at 12.44 p.m. for Hobart,: and experienced moderate to fresh .IS.iV. winds, with moderate sea and fine weather to 70dcg.E., when wind hauled to the S.W., and blew a gale, with rough eea; then fino weather to 113dcg. Papeete ,and Rarotonga, shortly before 2 p.m. yesterday; Pratique being granted, the vessel was berthed atthe Queen's Wharf No. 1 southdt 3- p.m. The Tahiti left 'Sou Fraucieco at '330 plm. on Doccmbcr 11, and arrived at Papoete on December 22. She cleared the latter port ori December 23, arriving at Barotonga- on Christmas Day.
