MARCONI PATENTS.
FRENCH COMPANIES SUED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. December 30, 6.50 p.m.) Melbourne, December 30. A cable message received this morning , from the head office in London states that the Marconi Company has brought to a s successful conclusion its action in, the French courts against the Compagnie Gen--1 erale Radio-Telegraphique and the Societe Francnise Radio-Electrique and others for : infringement of the Marconi "master . tuning" patent. The Marconi patent was declared valid, ! by the courts, and an injunction 'was granted against the defendant. The courts also ordered that the defendants' apparatus bo confiscated and 7 that they pay damages and costs. The subject of the action was the French .equivalent of the English "four sevens" Marconi' patent which was upheld and declared valid by the High Court in England. It was also tho subject of a successful action by the Marconi Company in America.
