The Azuma (generally referred to, erroneously, as the Adzuma) is ti 20-knot armoured cruiser, nankins four '8-inch . , guns and twelve 6-inch .guns as her privmnry armament. The Soya is a Japaness protected cruiser, captured from the Russians in the late war. She .was sunk at Chemulpo in February, 190-1, and ' salved by. the Jnpaneso in August of the following year. Her primary armament consists of twelve C-inch guns.' '
